Make a difference in the lives of those with brain injuries
It is the mission of the Brain Injury Foundation of St. Louis to provide innovative, community-based solutions to meet the specific social and vocational needs of individuals with brain injuries.
The Brain Injury Foundation of St. Louis (BIFSTL) believes that a brain injury is different than any other type of disability and requires specialized knowledge and understanding. As specialists in the brain injury field, BIFSTL understands that every brain injury is distinctly different from every other brain injury.
In 2023, BIFSTL served 119 individuals with brain injury in programs through MO DVR, MO DHSS, and Wounded Warrior. Of those individuals, 103 were served for vocational supports. BIFSTL assisted 46 individuals in returning to the workforce work either to their previous employer or to a new job. Of those who were not employed in 2023, many are still engaged in an active job search.
Individuals receiving vocational supports reported a 97% satisfaction rate based on completed client surveys. Referral sources for vocational supports reported a 99% satisfaction rate based on completed referral surveys.
We at the Brain Injury Foundation of St. Louis appreciate all of your support. If you prefer to donate by check you can send those to us at: 78950 Manchester Rd, Maplewood MO 63143.
